Online Therapy for Anxiety, Burnout, Trauma, and Life Transitions in South Carolina

You may be managing work, school, relationships, and responsibilities while quietly feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, anxious, disconnected, or stuck in survival mode.

Many of my clients appear high-functioning on the outside while internally struggling with overthinking, stress, burnout, self-doubt, or unresolved emotional pain.

Therapy offers a space to slow down, better understand what you're carrying, and begin developing healthier, more sustainable ways to cope.

You Don’t Have to Keep Pushing Through Alone

People often begin therapy after spending months — or years — trying to manage everything on their own.

You may feel:

  • mentally exhausted but unable to slow down
  • emotionally overwhelmed by everyday responsibilities
  • stuck in patterns that no longer work
  • constantly overthinking conversations and decisions
  • disconnected from yourself or others
  • frustrated that you “should be doing better”
  • emotionally drained from always being the dependable person

Therapy is not about having everything figured out before reaching out.

It’s about having a space where you can be honest, supported, and understood without judgment.

A safe, supportive space to help you navigate life's challenges

Reaching out for support can feel overwhelming — but you deserve a space where your struggles are understood, your strengths are honored, and your path forward feels possible. With over a decade of experience as a person-centered, integrative eclectic therapist, I specialize in working with professionals and college students navigating life’s most pressing challenges.

Whether you’re feeling stuck in patterns of stress, anxiety, trauma, or depression, therapy can be a powerful place to slow down, get clarity, and grow. Online counseling offers a safe, confidential, and flexible space to explore your thoughts and emotions — all from the comfort of your home or campus.

Compassionate, Personalized, Integrative

Meet Kelly Benjamin, LPC

I believe therapy should feel like a space where you can exhale — not perform.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in genuine human connection. I work with adults and college students who are navigating anxiety, burnout, trauma, depression, stress, and difficult life transitions.
Many of my clients are thoughtful, capable people who have spent a long time trying to manage emotional overwhelm on their own. Therapy provides an opportunity to better understand recurring patterns, strengthen coping skills, and create healthier ways of moving through life.
I integrate person-centered, cognitive behavioral, and trauma-informed approaches while tailoring therapy to each client’s individual needs and goals.

Above all, I strive to create an environment where clients feel respected, supported, and emotionally safe.

I can't express how much peace Kelly has helped me find over the years. I was REALLY struggling and hadn't had good experiences with past counselors. Kelly was such a safe haven of support and understanding. Her lessons and advice helped me navigate such a tough time, I can never thank her enough.

My therapist was a wonderful listener. Kind , patient and truly sympathetic. During the painful time of losing my brother to mental health struggles, their support helped me stay grounded and begin to heal. I am deeply grateful for their compassion and guidance.

I can't recommend Kelly enough, particularly for anxiety sufferers. She's genuine, matter of fact, and just what I need to get things back on track mentally. I think we're going on five years together!

Bryn Sarvis

Kelly was wonderful in the very early, raw stages, of my mental health journey. Years later with so much work and an ASD diagnosis, I look back with so much thankfulness for having had the opportunity to work with her for a substantial time. I feel like a different person today and Kelly was the catalyst for that, thank you a million times over. Take care!

Matthew Sommerville

Phenomenal counseling experience.

I do not know how I would have navigated my trauma without this professional. She is wonderful. If you are committed to the work, this is a great place to start. I am still crazy, but that is not her fault!
